Following their excursion to the Clark Art Institute, the sleepy students on the New England High School Summer Program perked up with the help of a dinner of chicken-salad sandwiches and tomato salad. As they ate, the high schoolers chatted about their favorite paintings, the props for the next day�s Euclid class, and how quickly the time seems to be slipping by. �The second week is going by so fast,� lamented Catherine F.

After dinner, programmers gathered their books for the now-familiar routine of study hour. First, students read the last two books of Boethius�s Consolation of Philosophy. They then headed up to St. Gianna Molla Hall to practice their third set of geometrical propositions. Many attendees are becoming Euclid pros, but for those seeking help, the prefects were on hand for tutoring and encouragement. Aided by this patient and excellent guidance, all had mastered the props by the session�s end.

Finished with their studies, programmers made their way down to Dolben Auditorium for a beloved annual event on the High School Summer Program, �Chaplain on Tap.� On Tuesday, the prefects put out a box at lunch, into which students could submit anonymous questions on all matters of faith and morality for Program Chaplain Rev. Miguel (Gaspar �08) Batres, O.Praem. Last night, Fr. Miguel answered those questions, on topics ranging from vocations to prayer, apologetics, doctrinal inquiries, and hypothetical ethical dilemmas. As always, there was also plenty of humor and laughter thrown into the mix. �Fr. Miguel is the G.O.A.T!� said Anthony W. �He�s so cool.�

With a long day of traveling and truth-seeking behind them, students were more than ready to hit the sack at curfew. �They�ll definitely sleep well tonight,� laughed Director of Admissions John Jost. Sleep they did, with many attendees tucking themselves in and closing their eyes well before lights-out.
