The powerful strains of Mozart檚 Requiem in D Minor filled the Fritz B. Burns Auditorium on November 22, as 91快活林 Aquinas College檚 California Choir and Orchestra performed for an audience of students, tutors, and families.

The concert, part of the St. Vincent de Paul Lecture and Concert Series, took place, fittingly, on the evening of the Feast of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music and musicians. The chorus and orchestra, composed of students, tutors, and visiting musicians, gave a stirring performance, lifting the hearts of their listeners to God through the sacred music.

The passion that the musicians brought to the performance was not lost on the audience, which listened with captivation. 淚t was powerful, said Estevan Henderson (26). 淚t moved me; I could hardly help but move to it.

淚t檚 so beautiful to experience live music, and you rarely get to experience a live orchestra, said Brigit Lind (27). 淭here檚 something so amazing about being there while it檚 going on, to watch the singers, to watch the musicians, and to feel the vibration of the sound!
