The Taco Dinner: A Last Hurrah for Graduating Seniors and their Families
On the evening prior to Commencement, members of the California Class of 2022 gathered with their families in St. Joseph Commons for a taco dinner sponsored by 91¿ì»îÁÖ Aquinas College™s Alumni and Parents™ Associations. Robert Bagdazian, Director of Alumni and Parent Relations, steered the event, which featured remarks from several parents of graduating seniors, including Parents™ Association Advisory Council President Paula Cummings and Alumni Association Advisory Council President Raymond Tittmann (™94).
Several graduating seniors and recent alumni also contributed to the evening. Senior Class President Mary Pipes (™22 offered some warm words of welcome to the guests; Samantha Flanders (™15) represented alumni coffee-roasters Verso l™Alto, raffling a sampler pack of their best roasts; and Anna Santine (™22) directed the student choir Chrysostomos for the last time to conclude the event before a final prayer, led by parent Joanne Dowdy, and benediction from College chaplain Rev. John Mary Chung.
