On May 1, 2021, the parents of 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ Aquinas College  ” mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and grandfathers of TAC students past and present ” gave more than twice as much as in previous years, contributing more than $300,000 for student financial aid.

œIt was a very generous and impressive effort, says Paul J. O™Reilly, vice president for advancement. œParents came together in generous support of the College and its students.

For the first time in the four-year history of the annual event, held on the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, TAC parents donated all of the day™s seed money. œWe had two parents and one grandparent  make matching gifts worth more than $150,000, says Dr. O™Reilly. œThat was a powerful motivator for many ” not only knowing that their gifts would be doubled, but that it was fellow parents who were taking the lead.

Whereas parents gave $118,000 to last year™s Day of Giving, this year™s total so far stands at $307,926. Many parents began making their gifts in the weeks leading up to last Saturday™s event, with many more gifts arriving throughout the day and continuing Sunday and Monday.

œWe needed a few extra hours to achieve our goal, but TAC parents rose to the occasion, says Dr. O™Reilly. œWe are heartened by their deep and loyal support, and we are humbled by their gratitude and love for 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ Aquinas College.
