A small band of student thespians at 91¿ì»îÁÖ Aquinas College, California, treated their friends and tutors to a powerful performance of Robert Bolt™s A Man For All Seasons on October 8. 

The play, which inspired the beloved 1966 film, tells the story of St. 91¿ì»îÁÖ More™s courageous refusal to condone King Henry VIII™s divorce from his first wife and subsequent marriage to Anne Boleyn. His staunch but peaceful resistance to Henry™s usurpation of Church authority led to his martyrdom in 1535.

Directing duo Madeline Holewa (™26) and Alex Roberts (™25) marshaled the acting talents of Marcel Pryor (™25), Veronica Hammerling (™26), Gregory Haggard (™26), Cordelia Henrie (™25), Max Alvarez (™26), Patrick Sauder (™25), and more to bring the play to life. Although everyone knew how the story ended, the actors™ captivating performances kept the audience rapt, earning the ensemble a standing ovation when the curtain fell. 

Students and faculty were eager to greet the actors and stagehands after the show, offering flowers, praise, and other expressions of gratitude for a terrific, moving performances.
