Friends gathered in TAC-New England™s Bl. Frassati Student Center on Wednesday for some more autumnal fun: a pumpkin-carving contest!

Students ” some working solo and others in pairs ” selected their pumpkins and set to work, emptying their gourds™ innards and deciding on designs. These ranged from classic grins to meticulous masterpieces, riffing on both Halloween and religious themes.

The finished Jack-o-Lanterns were lit from within and proudly displayed on the Student Center™s front steps, where the judges studied them to determine the best. In testament to their craftsmanship, Lucy Stoutz (™25) and Stephen Brown (™25) took first place with their carousel pumpkin.
