In its , The American Spectator recommends 26 colleges where conservative-minded students can play hooky from the higher-education mainstream, and 91 Aquinas College is among the most highly recommended on the list.

The Spectators editors especially cite the Colleges academics, which, they observe, have garnered praise from across the ideological spectrum. All students participate in its classical Great Books curriculum, which many consider to be a more challenging curriculum than that offered by the nations top universities, they write. In an accompanying article, Dr. Ann Hendershott remarks that the College again placed in 2022 in the top fifty of US News & World Reports annual ranking of national liberal arts colleges.

Dr. Hendershott further describes TAC as vibrantly Catholic, while the magazines profile of the College is keen to highlight its fidelity to the Churchs magisterium at all levels. Faculty members and students alike share deep faith and an intellectual commitment to understanding the world through a Catholic lens.

This conjunction of academic excellence and fidelity that the editors note is not an accident. Our founders were convinced that the pursuit of truth is inseparable from faith in Christ, says Chris Weinkopf, the Colleges executive director of college relations. It is this harmony of faith and reason, rather than any conflict between conservative and progressive, that animates the vibrant intellectual lives of our students and faculty. We are grateful to The American Spectator for recognizing that and for its recommendation.
