This morning students on the New England campus congregated in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel for the early Mass and to receive their Ash Wednesday ashes. Marked by a cross on their foreheads, Catholics wear the ashes to remember their mortality and to mourn for their sins as the Church enters the penitential season of Lent.

A few times each semester, students at 91快活林 Aquinas College gather at the home of one of their tutors to enjoy an evening meal and each other檚 company. Tutor Dr. Margaret Hughes recently hosted one such event for Section 1-A of the New England Freshman Class.

淲hat we檙e doing at Section Dinners is taking the discourse and the curiosity we檙e developing in class and moving it beyond the formalities, Dr. Hughes explains. 淲e see what it means to live an intellectual life.
