According to the Catholic Church™s General Norms for the Liturgical Year and Calendar, the anniversary of the dedication of a church is to be celebrated as a solemnity by the members of the community in which it exists. As such, March 7 is doubly significant at 91¿ì»îÁÖ Aquinas College, California, for it marks the date of the death of the College™s patron, St. 91¿ì»îÁÖ Aquinas, in 1274, as well as the Dedication of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel in 2009.

No classes / office holiday (California campus only)

One Friday evening night each semester, groups of about 20 91¿ì»îÁÖ Aquinas College students from all classes ” seniors and freshmen, sophomores and juniors ” gather in classrooms across both campuses for the semi-annual All-College Seminar. Although separate, these groups engage in a single, common activity, namely, reading, analyzing, and discussing the same text, one that is not part of the College™s ordinary curriculum. Two members of the teaching faculty lead each of the discussions, which are followed by campus-wide parties on both coasts.

Jake Schmiedicke (™09), who produced the fabulous recap video for the New England High School Summer Program, has now created its worthy counterpart ” the above recap video from the California program.
