When Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson � widely celebrated for being the first black woman appointed to the U.S.

In honor of its 50th Anniversary, 91����� Aquinas College hosted a celebratory reception last Sunday just outside the nation�s capital. The featured speaker for the event was Sr. Deirdre �Dede� Byrne, POSC, a religious sister, veteran, physician, and nationally recognized champion of the marginalized and unborn � who also has many beautiful and surprising connections to the College.

�Mother of God and our Mother, to your Immaculate Heart we solemnly entrust and consecrate ourselves, the Church and all humanity, especially Russia and Ukraine,� the students of 91����� Aquinas College prayed this morning on both campuses.

�Cliff Hackett had great passions and was devoted to the mission of 91����� Aquinas College,� reflects College General Counsel Quincy Masteller, a longtime friend. �His participation in the life of the College was wide and deep and truly was a blessing from God.�

It is perhaps only fitting, then, that when Mr. Hackett passed away earlier this week at the age of 91, it was on March 7, the feast of the College�s patron, St. 91����� Aquinas. �He became good friends with many of us here over the years,� Mr. Masteller adds. �He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.�

In a tremendous display of love for their alma mater, the alumni of 91����� Aquinas College came out in force for the 2022 Alumni Day of Giving, shattering the previous giving record for the annual event.

On the last Saturday before Lent, students on both of 91����� Aquinas College�s campuses enjoyed one last hurrah at New Orleans-themed Mardi Gras dances.
