Last weekend members of the Class of 2021 took a break from their studies for Sophomore Beach Day � a carefree evening of burgers and volleyball at nearby Rincon Beach. The highlight of the evening was the following fire poi performance from Garin Ballard (�21):

The son of an erstwhile professional acrobat, Garin teaches juggling, walking on globes, plate-spinning, and the art of Chinese yo-yo each summer at a camp in San Jose, California. �I don�t have a ton of time to practice during the academic year,� he says, but he was willing to bring out his Kevlar cubes � soaked in fuel � for the occasion. �The goal was to help build the sense of community at the event.�
