It was a battle between students and alumni Saturday as seminarians from St. John™s Seminary in Camarillo ” including three 91¿ì»îÁÖ Aquinas College alumni ” came to the California campus to battle students in a game of ultimate Frisbee.
Playing for the seminarian squad were three recent graduates who are studying for the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles: Paul Collins (™14), Edward Seeley (™16), and Jorge Moncada Hernandez (™18). Alas, two other alumni who are also at St. John™s were unable to join them ” fellow L.A. seminarian Michael Masteller (™13) and David Allen (™10), a seminarian for the Diocese of Monterey.
Perhaps St. John™s could have used their help. The students bested the seminarians, 15-2. Yet students and seminarians alike all had a wonderful time, and look forward to more friendly competitions to come.
