Hillsdale College, Other Graduate Programs Recruit TAC Students
As part of its ongoing program of bringing job and graduate-school recruiters to campus, the Office of Career Services on Thursday hosted a visit from Dr. Ronald J. Pestritto, graduate dean and professor of politics at Hillsdale College. I do not visit many schools, but I traveled here for the sole purpose of speaking with you about our program, said Dr. Pestrito. We are very happy with our TAC graduate students, and we would like more of you to join us.
During his presentation, Dr. Pestritto discussed Hillsdales masters and doctoral programs in political philosophy and American politics. In particular, he drew students attention to Hillsdales generous graduate scholarships, which are available to top applicants, including full-tuition scholarships for Ph.D. candidates and some masters students.
We currently have four TAC students in our graduate program, two masters students and two doctoral, said Dr. Pestritto. Of the 33 graduate students, who come from 22 undergraduate institutions, the students from TAC make up the largest contingent.
Hillsdale is one of several universities from across the country that have recently sent representatives to the College to speak about their graduate offerings. One of the many blessings of a liberal education is that our alumni are prepared to pursue any line of work or studies, says Director of Career Services Mark Kretschmer. As such, we welcome recruiters who represent a wide array of schools and disciplines, so that our students can get a sense of the range of opportunities available to them, and then choose one that best suits their interests and abilities.
