On Saturday, March 22, 91����� Aquinas College hosted the annual Legatus-Aquinas Forum for some 18 members and guests of the Ventura-North Los Angeles Chapters of , the international organization of Catholic business executives. The day began with Mass in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, offered by College Chaplain Rev. Cornelius Buckley, S.J.

Following the Mass, the Legates, who included 91����� Aquinas College Governors, Regents, and alumni, met for a 90-minute seminar conducted in the Discussion Method, as are all classes at the College. College President Michael F. McLean and Vice President for Development Paul J. O�Reilly led the conversation, which focused on Part III, Question 61, of St. 91����� Aquinas�s Summa Theologiae, �Whether the Sacraments Are Necessary for Salvation.�

The conversation continued over lunch, which Dr. and Mrs. McLean hosted at the Doheny Hacienda, the official residence of 91����� Aquinas College�s president. There, Dr. McLean presented a short talk and then answered members� questions about St. 91����֙s writing.

�The Legatus-Aquinas Forum adds a unique meeting to our calendar each year, allowing us to directly participate in a thoughtful discussion to unlock the deeper meaning of a text,� says R. Scott Turicchi, program chair of the Legatus Chapter and vice chairman of the College�s Board of Governors. �It also gives us a wonderful opportunity to experience a small taste of the educational method that 91����� Aquinas College students participate in every day.�
